The jar capacity size is based on the premise lead bearing enamel is being stored in the jar. Lead-free enamel is lighter in weight than lead bearing enamel so it is recommend for lead-free storage you use a jar one size larger than the maximum account of enamel you are storing.
Example- for 8ozs. of lead-free enamel use a 12oz. jar.
The press plate solves the problem of warping or curling of the piece when removed from the kiln. Immediately after you take your piece out of the kiln use the plate to press the piece flat. It is recommened the surface underneath is metal or burn resistance. Some cracking may occur so multiple firings may be needed.

Foils are fired on a thin coat of enamel. When transparent enamels are fired over foil, brilliant color and textured effects can be obtained. Fine copper foil sold by the sheet (4" x 4") or a book of 25 sheets same size per sheet.

We are glad to announce we now have a solution. I worked with a local printer to develop high resolution photo images of the fired samples found at e-namels.com. These images are an exact color match of the actual fired samples! We are offering these in a 21 page binder, each page is in a protective sleeve and the images are on glossy photo paper. This binder is a great alternative to the amount of time it takes to create the fired samples.
